The event will run until April 20 in the capital and several regions.
The event is scheduled to open at 3:00 p.m. local time at the Caracas Municipal Theater with the performance “De Los Andes al Caribe, un canto por Bolivia,” dedicated to the Andean country’s bicentennial and directed by Miguel Issa, according to the organizers.
This gala will feature traditional Bolivian dancers, the Latin American Rhythms Orchestra of the Teresa Carreño Theater, actors Francis Rueda, Aníbal Grunn, Luis Enrique Torres, and Amilkar García from the National Theater Company of Venezuela, and guitarist Hugo Quintana.
The director of the National Theater Company and FITP2025, Carlos Arroyo, told the press that 26 international groups from 19 countries will perform at the event, 13 of which will tour the country, with 258 artists and a total of 87 performances.
He indicated that the festival will reach 11 regions of the country in addition to Caracas, and will feature Russia as its guest of honor, bringing the Moscow Art Theater.
This IV International Progressive Theater Festival will carry the theme: “Que sea humana la humanidad,” a fragment of one of the songs by Venezuelan singer-songwriter Alí Primera.

Inicia en Venezuela Festival Internacional de Teatro Progresista
Caracas, 10 abr (Prensa Latina) Con una amplia propuesta de obras nacionales e internacionales inicia hoy en Venezuela la cuarta edición del Festival Internacional de Teatro Progresista (FITP2025), a celebrarse hasta el 20 de abril en esta capital y varias regiones.
La apertura del evento está prevista para las 15:00, hora local, en el Teatro Municipal de Caracas, con el espectáculo “De Los Andes al Caribe, un canto por Bolivia”, dedicada al bicentenario del país andino y bajo la dirección de Miguel Issa, dijeron los organizadores.
En esta gala participarán bailarines de danza tradicional boliviana, la Orquesta de Ritmos Latinoamericanos del Teatro Teresa Carreño, los actores Francis Rueda, Aníbal Grunn, Luis Enrique Torres y Amilkar García de la Compañía Nacional de Teatro de Venezuela, así como el guitarrista Hugo Quintana.
El director de la Compañía Nacional de Teatro y del FITP2025, Carlos Arroyo, declaró a la prensa que en la cita intervendrán 26 agrupaciones internacionales de 19 países, de los que 13 recorrerán el país, con 258 artistas y un total de 87 funciones.
Indicó que el festival llegará, además de Caracas, a 11 regiones del país, mientras tendrá a Rusia como país invitado de honor, que traerá al Teatro de Arte de Moscú.
Este IV Festival Internacional de Teatro Progresista llevará por lema: “Que sea humana la humanidad”, el fragmento de una de las canciones del cantautor venezolano Alí Primera.
