Over 185,000 officers deployed in Venezuela during Holy Week

Caracas, April 10 (Prensa Latina) A total of 185,000 officers from various security agencies will be deployed throughout Venezuela starting today as part of the Safe Holy Week 2025 deployment.

Diosdado Cabello, Vice President of Policy, Citizen Security, and Peace, announced this from the Poliedro de Caracas headquarters, accompanied by national and local authorities.

The senior official explained that 3,656 vehicles “that will be at the service of our people” are participating in the operation; 9,550 motorcycles; 1,096 bicycles; 398 ambulances distributed along all the country’s highways; and 78 tow trucks will be in service.

He indicated that 37 public terminals will be prioritized, and helicopters and aircraft will also be deployed for any emergency.

184 vessels from the National Navy, the Police, and the Armed Forces will also be deployed; There will be 730 emergency outposts on all main roads; 3,338 fixed, road, mobile, tourist, and immigration checkpoints; and firefighting vehicles.

Specialized personnel will also be available at beaches, rivers, parks, and other facilities to assist vacationers, he noted.

The Minister of the Interior, Justice, and Peace indicated that security agencies will conduct drug and alcohol tests at any time depending on the situation.

The agencies participating in this deployment include security institutions, the State, and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, along with the National Integrated Service of Customs and Tax Administration, the Autonomous Service of Registries and Notaries, and the Administrative Service of Identification, Immigration, and Foreigners.

Cabello urged families to take all precautions to avoid accidents and emphasized the importance of motorcyclists, urging them to be “very aware” when driving, given that recent reports have revealed a substantial increase in accidents. “If you go out, rest assured that someone is waiting for you at home—your family, your children,” she emphasized.

Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez announced yesterday that, given the energy emergency and the savings plan implemented by the State, the non-essential public sector will begin its Easter holiday tomorrow through Friday of next week.

“Public sector workers will have a full Holy Week holiday and can go enjoy it in the interior of the country, so they can see a sample of Venezuela’s productive capacity,” she commented.
