The sources reported that a 20-truck column laden with modern war material entered Syria from northern Iraq.
They clarified that another 30-truck convoy had earlier entered through the Al-Walid border crossing and headed for northeastern Hasakeh province, some 600 kilometers northeast of Damascus.
Two military aircraft carrying a load of weapons and logistical materials also landed at the Kherab Al-Khir airbase in the Remelan area, north of Hasakeh province.
Local sources stated that there are nine US bases in Syria: one in the Al-Tanf area bordering Iraq and Jordan, two in the oil fields in the countryside of the Deir Ezzor province, and six in Hasakeh province.
The US deployment in Syria is under the pretext of fighting the Daesh terrorist group, but does not have the approval of the Damascus government or the United Nations.
