MP Ali Fayyad emphasized that Lebanon is facing a foreign-led attempt to reshape its political, cultural, and social identity.
For the member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, the US and others interfere in political decisions, from port security to financial and economic reforms and attempts to impose normalization with Israel.
Fayyad stressed the need for Israeli withdrawal from the occupied territories, respect for sovereignty, and a commitment to reform without absolving the state of its reconstruction responsibilities.
According to the Hezbollah representative, the true focus for stabilizing the nation is the cessation of hostilities and adherence to UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
Along these lines, Hassan Fadlallah emphasized that the central reason for any internal dialogue within the nation must consider Israel as an enemy of the Lebanese state.
