Cuba solidarity groups celebrate Victory of Playa Girón in Italy

Rome, Apr 17 (Prensa Latina) The National Association of Italy-Cuba Friendship (Anaic) celebrated the 64th anniversary of the Bay of Pigs Victory, date on which an invasion orchestrated by the United States against the Cuban Revolution, was defeated.

Among other activities carried out in many of the more than 70 circles that this solidarity group has, there is a special program for the ItaliaxCuba channel, on Youtube, where a recount is made on that historical fact and its significance, as the first great defeat of US imperialism in America. The program emphasized that in less than 72 hours the Cuban people, under the leadership of the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro, managed to crush an aggression organized by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), with the participation of a brigade composed of more than 1,500 mercenaries at the service of the United States.

This glorious victory strengthened international support for the Cuban Revolution, as well as the rejection of the actions of the US government to try to destroy it, and as a result of this event, many demonstrations took place in Italy and Anaic was created, an organization that also celebrates its 64th anniversary on this day.

Grupos solidarios con Cuba celebran en Italia Victoria de Playa Girón

Roma, 17 abr (Prensa Latina) La Asociación Nacional de Amistad Italia-Cuba (Anaic) celebró el aniversario 64 de la Victoria de Playa Girón que se celebra hoy, fecha en que fue derrotada una invasión orquestada por Estados Unidos contra la Revolución cubana.

Entre otras actividades desarrolladas en muchos de los más de 70 círculos con que cuenta esa agrupación solidaria, se encuentra un programa especial para el canal ItaliaxCuba, en Youtube, donde se realiza un recuento sobre ese hecho histórico y su significado, como primera gran derrota del imperialismo norteamericano en América.

Se destacó en la misma que en menos de 72 horas el pueblo cubano, bajo la dirección del Comandante en Jefe, Fidel Castro, logró aplastar una agresión organizada por la Agencia Central de Inteligencia (CIA), con la participación de una brigada compuesta por más de mil 500 mercenarios al servicio de Estados Unidos.

Esa gloriosa victoria fortaleció a nivel internacional el apoyo a la Revolución cubana, así como el rechazo a las acciones del gobierno norteamericano para tratar de destruirla, y a raíz de ese hecho en Italia se desarrollaron múltiples manifestaciones y se creó la Anaic, organización que también festeja en esta jornada sus 64 años.
