At the 15th round of the Consultative Group on Strategic Stability, both nations reaffirmed their shared commitment to international security and arms control, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) informed.
The two delegations discussed key issues related to the First Committee of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the Conference on Disarmament, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), and the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC).
The new challenges to global security, such as space militarization, international information security, and artificial intelligence (AI)’s implications in defense, also featured on the agenda.
APP noted that the meeting concluded with both sides welcoming the convergence of views on a wide range of issues.
