The journal stated that the ceremony was attended by Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Ayman Ashour, and the Egyptian Space Agency’s Executive Officer Sherif Sedqy.
The event also unveiled AfSA’s new logo, which was selected after a design competition for young Africans aged 18-29 years.
The agency was founded to lead and coordinate the space objectives of the African continent.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated that the institution aims to help African countries develop space technologies to support social and economic growth.
