**Bogotá, Apr 21 (Prensa Latina)** – Colombia’s Foreign Minister, Laura Sarabia, will travel to the United Nations headquarters in New York on Monday to seek international support for her country’s efforts in advancing peace.
According to a statement from the Foreign Ministry, the minister will attend the presentation of the **UN Verification Mission Report on the 2016 Peace Agreement**, scheduled for Tuesday, April 22.
During her visit, which concludes on April 23, Sarabia will meet with **Miroslav Jenča**, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Europe, Central Asia, and the Americas, as well as with permanent and non-permanent representatives of the UN Security Council (UNSC) member states, the ministry noted.
The Foreign Ministry also stated that Sarabia will address the UNSC to report on the **progress, challenges, and stakes** in implementing the Peace Agreement. Additionally, she will participate in a **Colombia-focused session of the Peacebuilding Commission**, where she will seek to mobilize international backing for her government’s peace policies. The session will also highlight Colombia’s **priorities and experiences** in the peace process.
The ministry emphasized that Sarabia’s mission aligns with President **Gustavo Petro’s** directive to strengthen international cooperation in conflict resolution.
