In a letter sent to the European Union (EU) foreign ministers, the organization noted that the aggression against that territory has caused an unprecedented number of civilian casualties.
Most Gazans were forced to flee their homes, the letter, published by regional media, stressed.
The text also criticized the systematic, widespread, and intense nature of those raids across Gaza, where more than 51,000 people have been killed since the new cycle of violence started in October 2023.
The deliberate and continuous deprivation of basic resources, the severe physical, psychological harm to the population, and the implementation of measures to prevent them from having children meet all the crime’s elements of genocide as defined by international law, the Monitor stressed.
