Russian and Bangladeshi navies conduct exercises in Indian Ocean

Moscow, Apr 22 (Prensa Latina) Ships of the Russian and Bangladeshi navies conducted the PASSEX joint exercise, following the visit of ships from the Slavic country to the port city of Chittagong, the Defense Ministry informed in this capital on Tuesday.

According to the military institution, the Russian ships initially made a working visit to the significant port of Chittagong, before the organization of the PASSEX 2025 joint drills.

The maneuvers included communications training, joint tactical maneuvers, and command transmission.

Once the exercise concluded, the Russian ships departed for further tasks of the long-distance voyage, the Defense Ministry stated.

Russia’s participating vessels included corvettes Rezkiy, Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov, and the medium sea tanker Pechenga.

Bangladesh was represented by the frigate Umar Farooq, the corvette Prottoy, and the patrol vessel Durjoy.
