Initial efforts by experts managed to extract 13 people alive from the ruins, but it is feared that an undetermined number may still be under the rubble, according to a report from the State Emergency Management Agency released to the media.
The disaster occurred by modifications to the three-story building to adapt it to the needs of a commercial establishment without the authorization and expertise of the authorities in charge of the matter.
