As part of the program scheduled for this Wednesday, there will be a Foreign Investment Seminar, a series of technical conferences, and the Air Safety Meeting, in addition to an aircraft exhibition, among other events.

During the inauguration held yesterday afternoon and evening at the Santa Lucía Military Air Base, in the State of Mexico, President Claudia Sheinbaum mentioned the participation of 337 companies, 67 national and six foreign aircraft, as well as 12 universities.

“Mexico is among the top five countries for foreign investment in aerospace. It is the 12th largest exporter of aerospace components worldwide,” the president said, noting that the aerospace market is estimated at $11.2 billion.

Sheinbaum emphasized that the event, organized by the Air Force and the Ministry of Defense, is part of Plan Mexico, a long-term initiative with clear goals aimed at boosting national economic development.

“In this edition, we also want to highlight Plan Mexico, a comprehensive effort that seeks to position our country as a global leader in aerospace manufacturing and technology,” said Fair Director Disraeli Gómez during the opening day. “Through this plan, we are working on modernizing our infrastructure, training human capital, and attracting both domestic and foreign investment.”

This year, the guest country is Brazil, which will present the C390 Millennium aircraft, and the guest state is Querétaro.

The event will include a first phase dedicated to activities such as academic events, and a second phase, scheduled for the 26th, will feature a display of domestic and foreign civil and military aircraft.
