Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Friday that this document is an exercise plagued by hegemonic logic and double standards.

He added that the US government ignores facts and annually fabricates similar reports, but omits to address Washington’s negative actions in arms control and disarmament.

He affirmed that, “Instead of reflecting on its actions, the US groundlessly accuses other countries, resorting to defamation and double standards mentality.”

The spokesperson stressed that Beijing upholds genuine multilateralism in the field of arms control and non-proliferation.

Guo Jiakun criticized the northern nation’s military buildup and its role in exacerbating global tensions.
