The military body’s note, published this Saturday on its official Telegram page, specifies that the anti-aircraft systems on duty annihilated 27 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of the Kursk region, 16 in Belgorod, one in the Rostov region, and one in Lipetsk.
Russian provinces bordering Ukraine, such as Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, and Voronezh, as well as the Crimean peninsula, regularly report missile strikes, drone raids, and other attacks from across the border, forcing the population to seek refuge elsewhere.
During the last months, Ukraine focused its drone attacks on refineries, fuel depots, and other facilities of the Russian oil industry, mainly in the border provinces, but also in more remote areas such as Nizhny Novgorod, Bashkortostan, or Tatarstan.
Likewise, and especially in the last two months, the Ukrainian military intensified its attacks on population settlements and civilian vehicles on the move.
