The event commemorated the 64th anniversary of the José Martí Pioneers Organization and the 63rd anniversary of the Young Communist League (UJC) of Cuba.
Those present highlighted the importance of a space for unity and brotherhood between the new generations of both countries.
The cultural segment, featuring Chinese and Cuban children, featured artistic presentations that included Latin dances, musical performances with traditional Chinese instruments, and children’s songs.
The event also presented awards and recognitions to participants in the drawing contest “Cuba and China: 65 Years of Friendship,” which received 256 entries from children and adolescents from various schools.
As part of the activities, a salsa class led by Chinese teacher Ema encouraged the children to dance to the classic “Guantanamera.”
