A statement from the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party published by the state news agency KCNA notes that its soldiers “fully demonstrated their high fighting spirit” and made “an important contribution to the annihilation of the Ukrainian neo-Nazi forces” in that territory.
According to the note, Kiev’s reckless military actions “have become a threat to the common cause of the DPRK and Russia to realize international justice and protect world peace from imperialist arbitrariness and lawlessness.”
The Commission asserted that the presence of its troops in Kursk “fully comply with all provisions and spirit of the UN Charter” and the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty.
The agreement was signed by the country’s top leader, Kim Jong Un, and Russian President Vladimir Putin during the latter’s visit to Pyongyang in June last year. Kim Hong also stressed that it has been “an excellent example of the most faithful expression of the action to implement them (the articles of the treaty).
