Cordial meeting of Salvador Valdes Mesa with Lao President

Hanoi, Apr 29 (Prensa Latina) The secretary general of the People's Revolutionary Party (PPRL) and president of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith, received in the southern Ho Chi Minh City the Cuban vice president, Salvador Valdés Mesa.

We held a cordial and pleasant meeting in which we addressed important aspects of the events in both sister nations, the member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) posted on the social network X.

Present at the meeting, the official of the Department of International Relations of the Central Committee of the PCC Aymeé Díaz added that during the talks “the excellent ties between Parties, Governments and the peoples of Laos and Cuba, based on friendship and mutual support, were noted”.

Valdés Mesa and Sisuolith are in Ho Chi Minh City to participate in the commemorative activities for the liberation of the South and National Reunification, whose central event will take place at dawn tomorrow, Wednesday, April 30.
