Accompanied by Commander of the Revolution and Deputy Prime Minister Ramiro Valdes, and representatives of France’s General Confederation of Labor (CGT) of France, the workers ratified the critical importance of unity within the sector and its enduring contributions to the national economy.
Sylvain Raffanel, CGT secretary general in the Pantin de Seine-Saint-Denis Local Union, assured that he has participated, for 30 consecutive years, in these festivities showcasing the French workers’ solidarity with the island’s workers and to increase links with the Cuban Workers Confederation (CTC).
CTC secretary in Villa Clara, Maglin del Sol, stated that among the elements that distinguish this province’s workers are the existence of two accredited universities of excellence, the size of the technological scientific park, the first in the country with an industrial character, and the wide development of science in the territory.
As in the case through out the country, after this parade, the workers participated in volunteer works and in the inauguration of various installations that favor the state and private economy.
