This condemnable attack reflects the continued reckless efforts to destabilize the country and exacerbate the crisis and security situation, as it undermines national security and the unity of the Syrian people, said a statement from the Presidency posted on its Telegram channel.

It called on the international community and Arab countries to support Damascus in the face of these aggressions that violate international laws and conventions.

We urge Arab countries to unify their positions and express their full support for Syria in the face of these Israeli aggressive practices, the text said.

On the other hand, it pointed out that local and external attacks against the country’s unity will not succeed in weakening the will of the Syrian people or hindering the state’s efforts to achieve stability and peace.

The statement clarified that the relevant security apparatuses are continuing the necessary investigations to hold accountable those responsible for these attacks. They will continue to work with determination to prevent any threat to the nation´s security and its citizens.
