Published by Abril publishing house, the volume features 30 chronicles previously published in Juventud Rebelde Sunday newspaper: they are little-known, exotic, and curious stories, the author said at the launch during the Havana International Book Fair held in February this year.
The book collects stories of celebrities such as writer Ernest Hemingway and Cuban pimp Alberto Yarini, the journalist revealed that more often than not testimonies could only be found from contemporary witnesses, who usually overdid the facts.
Miguel Cruz, editor in chief at Abril publishing house, stated that Bianchi’s most recent title reveals unknown details about several milestones in Cuba’s history.
Havana becomes the axis that bringing together such stories of relevant characters, ranging from sportsmen, artists and politicians to mob kingpins.
