Russia warns of consequences for Ukraine if it attacks Moscow

Moscow, May 4 (Prensa Latina) The vice-president of the Russian Security Council, Dmitri Medvedev, reacted harshly today to the refusal of the Ukrainian leader, Vladimir Zelenski, to accept a truce, and threaten the guests at the parade in Moscow.

Medvedev drew attention Sunday on his Telegram channel to Zelensky’s words that he would not accept a three-day ceasefire and that Ukrainian authorities cannot guarantee the safety of world leaders who will arrive in Moscow on May 9 for the Victory Parade. ‘And who is looking for their guarantees? It’s just a verbal provocation.

Nothing more than that, Medvedev indicated in his text.

He also added that Zelensky understands that in case of a real provocation on Victory Day, no one can guarantee that May 10 will come to Kiev.

Earlier, the Ukrainian president refused to accept Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposal for a truce from May 7 to 9 in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory and in turn proposed a thirty-day cease-fire on U.S. terms.

Zelensky also threatened foreign leaders planning to visit Moscow on May 9.
