According to SANA news agency, Sharifov expressed Baku’s desire to contribute effectively and quickly to the rapid reconstruction of Syria, particularly in the areas of energy, industry, health and education. We have good experience in reconstruction and our visit to Damascus represents an opportunity to exchange knowledge in this field, the Azerbaijani official said.
He added that his country’s authorities will contribute to the resumption of oil production in Syria through experience in energy resources and transportation, such as oil and gas pipelines.
We are ready to immediately start reconstruction projects by taking advantage of our expertise in smart housing, the Azeri minister said.
In turn, Syrian Minister Al-Shaar highlighted the historical relations between Syria and Azerbaijan, explaining that the devastation and destruction have affected all aspects of life in this nation, including education, culture and industry, and assured that Baku can help Syria rise again after long years of war. abo/oda/fm
