Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian offered the congratulations during a daily press conference.

“This year marks the 35th anniversary of China-Singapore diplomatic relations,” Lin said, adding that China attaches great importance to bilateral ties.

“We are willing to work with the new Singapore government to strengthen communication and exchanges, deepen practical cooperation, and raise the comprehensive partnership between China and Singapore to a new level,” the spokesman said.
