In the framework of the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between these two nations, the Cuban diplomat gave an exclusive interview to Mongolian newspaper Unduur (Daily News).
Ferrer recalled that more than 100 Mongolian doctors, stomatologists, and other health professionals have graduated free of charge from Cuban universities, for the academic exchange and solidarity between the two states.
He also noted Mongolia’s support for Cuba in international forums and the negative impact of the extensive economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States, which also affects third countries.
The diplomat al described the natural and patrimonial attractions of his homeland, among them the Varadero beach resort, chosen among the world’s 10 best places, and distinguished Cuba’s underwater wealth, with the second largest coral reef globally, and the great diversity of flora and fauna in its waters.
According to Ferrer, Cuba ranks fourth in Latin America and 26th out of 190 countries on the World Heritage List of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for the number of heritage sites, with 11 of them recognized, thanks to the degree of their conservation.
