In a statement, the military body argued that the Armed Forces carried out the action, following an attempt by Pakistan early Thursday morning to disable several military targets in the North and West of India.
The Integrated Anti-UAS Network and the Air Defense systems banned Pakistani drones and missiles against 15 military positions, pointed out the note.
The source said that remains are being collected from several places confirming Pakistani aggression, which resulted in the death of 16 people, including three women and five children. The Ministry of Defense said that mortar and large caliber artillery fire from Pakistan has increased in intensity in some areas.
For that reason, India was forced to respond, however, the country’s Armed Forces have reiterated their commitment not to escalate the situation, provided the Pakistani Army respected it.
On the other hand, the Pakistani Navy disclosed that they neutralized 12 Indian Harop drones in various parts of the country.
Also, that four Army personnel in Lahore were injured and equipment partially damaged, besides some civilians affected.
