The Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García, announced on Tuesday the arrest of Jesús “N”, alias “Chuy”, of the Sinaloa Cartel, who has an arrest warrant for extradition to the United States for conspiracy and cocaine distribution.
A day earlier, the head of state also announced the capture of María del Rosario “N”, an operator of the Jalisco Cartel – New Generation, wanted by the U.S. for arms, drug and human trafficking, money laundering and distribution across the border of methamphetamine and fentanyl .
As part of the actions against criminal groups, between October 1, the beginning of the current administration, and April 20, agents captured 18,712 persons for high impact crimes and seized 144 tons of drugs and more than 9,600 firearms.
