Advances in the strengthening of Cuba’s electric system highlighted

Havana, May 11 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero affirmed that the recovery of the National Electric Power System is a priority for the country, which is why several investments are being made.

During several meetings with producers in the eastern province of Holguín, the head of government assured that work is being carried out with intensity: “We are awake at night to continue with investments, with the parks, to reduce the blackout”, he stressed.

As part of his tour through the territory, he talked with workers and inhabitants of the region about the need and urgency of adopting a more proactive attitude in view of the difficult times the country is undergoing, as reported by national television.

Marrero visited the El Vapor dairy, where he inquired about the productive levels of the entity and the difficulties that hinder its progress.

Accompanied by provincial authorities, the Prime Minister also toured the Molino de Piedras materials production center, a site where bricks and other construction materials are produced.

At the food self-sufficiency farm, the leader stressed that food production is a first-order task in Cuba.

He also took the opportunity to congratulate the island’s women on the occasion of Mother’s Day.
