“Yes, there was an attempt to disrupt it,” Peskov said, noting that the anti-Russian rhetoric of Vladimir Zelensky, who claimed that it was impossible to ensure the safety of guests in Moscow, was “bordering on insanity.”
The Russian president’s press secretary added that Kiev “reinforced this tone of madness with a swarm of drones.” He also added that the Russian air defense demonstrated high efficiency during the festivities and successfully coped with the threat of attacks, ensuring the safety of the events.
Earlier, ambassador on special mission of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik said that in order to reach an agreement, the United States must limit the supply of arms to Ukraine and “raise awareness” of the intractable Zelensky.
It should be recalled that the Ukrainian president rejected the cease-fire proposal and announced that the guests of the parade in Moscow would not be provided with security guarantees.
Regarding the matter, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev noted that Zelensky understands that in case of a real provocation on Victory Day, no one could guarantee that Kiev would see May 10.
