Voting, of a mandatory nature, will be until 7:30 p.m., and may be extended for one more hour if there are still voters in line.
The Usina de Percepción Ciudadana announced that it will provide advance information tonight on the preliminary results in 11 of the 19 departments.
No significant changes are expected in the political map, where the National Party governs in most of the municipalities and mayors’ offices, followed by the Frente Amplio, which intends to increase its strength in the interior of the country.
