Gaza is subjected to a systematic policy of starvation and forced deprivation of food, water, and medical care, in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, Al-Yamahi affirmed in a statement.

The official warned that such actions may amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

He sent letters to the UN secretary general, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the executive director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to denounce the situation.

He demanded in the letter immediate and effective action to save the children in the coastal enclave.
