According to Xinhua, He Lifeng indicated that the operational details of the new mechanism are expected to be finalized quickly, and the two countries will issue a joint statement on the meeting’s results this Monday.

The senior official stressed that, given the current international situation, this dialogue has been followed with interest by the global community.

He noted that the joint effort made a significant step toward resolving differences through equal dialogue, which paved the way for narrowing differences and enhancing cooperation.

He Lifeng reiterated that China-US economic relations are key not only for both countries but also for the stability and the world economy’s growth.
