“India’s vision is very clear: terrorism and dialogue cannot go together, terrorism and trade cannot go together. Moreover, water and blood cannot flow together,” Modi said in an address to the nation on Operation Sindoor initiated by New Delhi, following the Pahalgam attack, for which he holds Pakistan responsible.
He specified that unity against all forms of terrorism is the greatest strength of the country and reaffirmed that zero tolerance to this threat is the guarantee of a better world.
The head of government pointed out that, with the ceasefire, India has only suspended its retaliatory actions against terrorist and military installations in Pakistan and that, in the following days, it will measure each step taken by the neighboring country according to the attitude it adopts.
He assured that the Air Force, Army, Navy and Border Security Force are constantly on alert and that henceforth Operation Sindoor will be India’s policy against terrorism.
Modi added that if there is a terrorist attack on India, an appropriate response will be given and strict action will be taken wherever the threat comes from.
He said his country will not accept any nuclear blackmail and will launch a precise and decisive strike against terrorist hideouts operating under such a shield.
