The release specifies that invitations have already been sent to the High Representatives for Security Affairs of the Global South and Global East nations, and a group of organizations, including the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and heads of over 20 international organizations will also attend, the statement of the Russian Security Council noted.
It also recalled that this Forum has been organized annually since 2010 for security officials.
It is a significant international platform for discussing issues such as security, tackling international terrorism, extremism, cross-border crime, drug trafficking, new challenges, and threats.
