According to an official statement, a Sandinista government delegation in Beijing signed an agreement with the ZMJ and Huawei companies for a digital connectivity project to strengthen telecommunications in Nicaragua.
They also signed a contract with China Communications Services International (CCSI) for the installation of intelligent logistics management platforms at the Julia Herrera Logistics Center in the Corinto port and an agreement with the Yutong company for supplying buses and municipal cleaning machinery. Another document was subscribed with the POLY Technologies trade company for delivering equipment to the Nicaraguan Army to strengthen the sovereignty and peace defense.
The Nicaraguan visitors held meetings with Huadian Group and PowerChina, with which they work on the Tumarin and Mojolka hydroelectric projects; and with companies of the Nicaragua-China Chamber of Commerce for developing mining, banking, industrial, and commercial exchange projects.
The Nicaraguan representation, composed of Foreign Minister Valdrack Jaentschke and presidential advisor Laureano Ortega, among other government officials, is in China to attend the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the China-CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) Forum this week.
