In his Telegram account, the senior diplomat noted that this event is “significant for strengthening our multilateral relations.”
Gil explained that at the beginning of “our work day, we had the privilege of meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.”
He stated that during the meeting, they discussed the expansion of the strategic alliance between Beijing and Caracas, and “we reaffirmed our joint commitment to moving toward a multipolar world.”
Currently, both countries maintain more than 600 agreements in strategic areas for the development of both peoples, such as energy, technology, infrastructure, and social development.
These agreements are supported by the Foolproof and Weatherproof Strategic Partnership agreement, signed by Presidents Xi Jinping and Nicolás Maduro in 2023.
