Thu Hang emphasized on Sunday, that Vietnam’s position is one of consistent support for the peaceful resolution of disputes through dialogue, in accordance with international law and the UN Charter, taking into account the legitimate interests of all parties involved and for peace, stability, cooperation, and regional and global development.

In the early hours of May 11th, Putin proposed to the Ukrainian authorities that they resume the interrupted direct negotiations in 2022 without preconditions. He also suggested that the dialogue begin on May 15th in Istanbul, the Turkish capital.

According to statements by Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov, the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine is a much more complex and detailed process than the formality of signing a document.

Formally signing a text and declaring it an agreement is a resolution process that encompasses every last detail, each of which is of utmost importance to both Russia and Ukraine, Peskov said.
