The Ministries of Finance and Prices and Construction established this mechanism, called the Construction and Assembly Pricing System, for investments, capital repairs, and construction maintenance.
According to Cuban Deputy Minister of Finance and Prices, Lourdes Rodriguez, the new rule regulates state and non-state economic actors regarding the proper use of the state budget allocated for construction projects.
The resolution also points at determining construction and assembly budgets for new investment projects, capital repairs, and construction maintenance projects that are initiated.
Deputy Minister of Construction, Antonio Amaury Medina, reported that six months after their entry into force, the results of both regulations will be analyzed to improve them or correct any distortions in a timely manner.
The general director of the Center for the Development of Standards and Costs for the sector, Alva Perez, expressed the need to calculate the impact these new legal regulations will have on both the budget for the remainder of 2025 and the plans for 2026.
