The reinforcements consist of 25 trucks carrying heavy military equipment and M1 Abrams tanks, and U.S. military personnel and officers.
All this comes at a time when the northeastern region of Syria is witnessing tensions and changes in the deployment of U.S.-led international coalition forces.
Earlier this month, more than 200 military vehicles were withdrawn from enclaves set up by Washington in the Koniko and Al-Omar oil fields north of Deir Ezzor.
Last April, the Pentagon announced the beginning of a redeployment of its troops in this country. The decision led to the closure of three bases and the gradual reduction of the number of troops from 2,500 to 1,000.
The American deployment in this Arab nation is under the pretext of fighting the Daesh terrorist group, but does not have the approval of the government in Damascus or the UN.
