The high-ranking officer told the Izvestia newspaper that the document aims to be signed this year, as part of developing relations between the two military institutions.
The inspector general, who made a working visit to the Eurasian nation, explained that the Defense Ministries of Russia and Nicaragua worked to improve the joint draft.
Corrales indicated that what is expected is clarity on the place of the signing, either in Moscow or in Managua.
He also added that his country’s representatives will participate as observers in the military exercises that will be held in Russia in September.
