PSUV Secretary General denounces violent plans by far-right

Caracas, May 15 (Prensa Latina) The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, denounced new violent plans by the national far-right, into which he said he has initiated an investigation.

The political leader read a letter on a television program from the sender who warned of a plot organized by opposition members.

The violent plans also include attacks against police stations, oil and electrical installations, and hospitals. “We’re talking about bombs, terrorism,” Cabello said. “[Opposition leader María Corina Machado] is moving to see if Colombia will finally provide her with some resources to pay the mercenaries,” he explained.

The letter indicated that Machado still has the resources “to unleash a massive psychological war” with the intention of trying to confuse, discourage, and divide our people, creating an atmosphere that the country is vulnerable, that Nicolás Maduro’s government is weak, and that it is time for a coup d’état.

No country in the region or the world “wants to buy into Cori’s idea of unleashing a civil war in Venezuela so she can come to power”, the sender stated, and adding that, in any case, the financiers and “the few crazy people who still listen to her” say she must generate some kind of violence or action within the country to then see if they will step forward, “but that they are not going to jump into the void like they did with (Juan) Guaidó.”

The letter mentioned another plan that formally began the day before, consisting of “doing everything possible to sabotage and generate chaos before, during, and after May 25, the day of the regional and parliamentary elections.”

Cabello pointed out that aside from lies and manipulation, Machado “only counts on the usual crazy people” and wants to make money by claiming they’ll come to Venezuela. He also mentioned the bounty hunters who have been tricked into believing that they now have a chance to make something in the country.
