The meeting took place in the presidential office in Dolmabahce and lasted a little more than an hour, sources from the Turkish Foreign Ministry informed the news agency.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Presidential Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg led the US delegation.
Andriy Yermak, head of Volodymyr Zelensky’s office, and Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha represented the Ukrainian side.
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan headed the Turkish delegation.
The first direct talks between Russia and Ukraine since the spring of 2022 are scheduled to begin in Istanbul at 12:30 hours (local time).
Presidential adviser Vladimir Medinsky was part of the Russian delegation. He said earlier that the direct talks with the Ukrainian side aim to establish long-term peace and eliminate the root causes of the crisis.
