The National Health Commission said it is closely monitoring the behavior of the coronavirus after the WHO confirmed in recent weeks an increase in incidence in regions of West Africa, Central America, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, Southwest Europe and West Asia.
The researcher of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, An Zhijie, pointed out that, indeed, some countries have recorded a slight upturn in infections, although no notable changes in clinical severity have been detected.
In this context, local authorities recommended some measures to protect themselves in cases of long trips and emphasized the importance of maintaining good personal hygiene practices.
According to data published last May 8 by the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the national rate of positive coronavirus detection increased in April, especially in southern provinces.
In some regions where the growth was earlier, the curve is already showing stazbilization signs.
