Presented at an awards ceremony on Wednesday along with all the categories of the great event of Cuban discography, the prize went to the documentary ‘Oriki para Bola de Nieve’, (record label: Icaic and Egrem) which pays tribute to this important figure of the national and world music scene.

From the social networks, the president of Icaic praised this merit and expressed: ‘We must return to the Cuban documentary and its school; and put in value all its heritage to the new generations’.

Every year Cubadisco consolidates itself as the ideal space to celebrate the musical richness of the island and its projection to the world.

This edition is dedicated to bolero, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2023.

Among the record labels with the most productions presented in 2025 are Bismusic, Colibri and Egrem.

Cubadisco is a contest open to musical and audiovisual productions licensed by a record label or cultural institution, and this year awarded a total of 141 nominations in 35 categories, grouped in 10 competitive areas.

Olokun, an album by prominent Argentine musician Rodrigo Sosa, was the winner of the Cubadisco 2025 Grand Prize, revealed at a ceremony held at the Cuban National Theater.
