The Defense Ministry’s statement released to the press on Friday said that after a successful offensive action the troops of the West group managed to occupy the village of Radkovka in the Kharkov province.

The Defense Ministry note also adds that from May 17 to May 23, in the line of operations of the Western group the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 1,585 troops.

To these losses should be added more than 2,875 in the line of operations of the Central group, more than 1,665 in the line of operations of the Southern group, another 1,185 in the line of operations of the Eastern group, as well as 1,180 in the line of operations of the Northern group, and more than 415 casualties caused by the Dnieper group. During the same period, the Russian military captured 46 Ukrainian soldiers.

Meanwhile, the head of the civil-military administration of the Kharkov region, Vitaly Ganchev, said that with the capture of Radkovka, the Russian troops approached the suburbs of the city of Kupyansk in the mentioned Ukrainian province, and their control will allow a better control over the enemy army’s movements.
