The president’s agenda will begin at 11:00 local time with the commemoration of the Day of the Sugar Planter, which will take place at the Porvenir Sugar Mill, in San Pedro de Macoris, in the eastern region.
He will then inaugurate the first stage of the Gautier-Guayabal highway, a 16.3 kilometer road that represents an important advance for road connectivity in the region.
This work will facilitate communication between rural communities and reduce travel time to Santo Domingo and other eastern provinces.
Later, the head of State will lead the opening of the National Vehicle Retention Center, located on the Santo Domingo ring road, in the municipality of Santo Domingo Oeste.
This new facility replaces the old vehicle depot located on Monumental Avenue, and seeks to offer a more modern, efficient and secure service.
Before concluding the day, the President will travel to the municipality of Santo Domingo East, where he will inaugurate the Padre Wagner sports centers, modern spaces designed for the promotion of sports.
