A report published on the website of the specialized media Ricicla News,a based on data from a recent study by the National Institute of Statistics (Istat), informs that the current ecological problems put at risk 18,2 percentage points of the added value of the economy in general, with 21,3% in the industry.
In this sense, to face this problem, investments and strategies for the so-called green transition are relevant, which, at the end, can become a competitive factor rather than a cost, according to Istat specialists in their Annual data 2025.
Such a relationship can be seen especially in sectors such as energy, where greater efficiency in consumption and an increase in renewable quotas reduce environmental damage and reduce dependence on imports of fossil resources from abroad, the main burden on the shoulders of Italian companies.
