Published by Ediciones En Vivo, the publishing house of Cuban Radio and Television, this literary work bears the signature of Carlos Manuel Garces, who has been linked as a journalist to the radio station since 1970.
At the meeting, the author and Norma Gálvez, director of En Vivo Editions, will talk with journalist and critic Fernando Rodríguez about the text, which brings the reader closer to transcendental moments of the radio station throughout its 95 years of existence.
If Radio Progreso is the radio station of dreams for all of us who work here, it is also for scientists, writers, musicians, professionals of all kinds and the population in general, above all, for its great variety of topics that, when they discover it, from the first time, they find a frank smile, voices that catch, a soul to grasp with their hands its frankness and points of view, said the author.
With a degree in Latin American Literature, Carlos Manuel Garces has also studied to be a newscaster, art direction, public relations, marketing, advertising and semiotics, according to a note from the Cuban Book Institute.
