Al-Yamahi condemned in a statement “the horrific massacres, forced displacement crimes, and illegal land annexation” in Gaza and the West Bank.
The official also criticized repeated incursions by Israeli settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem.
He pointed out that the most recent visit to the holy site by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir represents a blatant challenge to the feelings of Muslims worldwide and a flagrant violation of international law.
The top figure in the regional legislature noted that direct attacks on civilians, the destruction of homes, the deprivation of the most basic needs, and the murder of children will not be forgotten.
Al-Yamahi stressed that Israel will assume the legal, political, and moral consequences of those actions before the international community.
