The Tel Aviv diplomat was supposed to attend a conference on international relations yesterday but was forced to leave the university campus by students carrying banners with slogans such as “Free Palestine” and “No to genocide.”
Local media reported today that the students opposed their university being used as a platform to justify Israeli actions and demanded an end to the war in Gaza and equal rights for the Palestinian people.
Political observers note that Wednesday marks 600 days since the Zionist military invasion of Gaza, which devastated the Palestinian enclave, killing more than 54,000 people in a barbaric act of ethnic cleansing.
