Macron arrived in Jakarta from Vietnam and, to complete his Southeast Asian tour, he will leave for Singapore on Thursday, to enhance France’s diplomatic, commercial, and cultural presence in a region considered key to the global economic and geopolitical future.

After the welcoming ceremony for the French president and his wife, Brigitte Macron, the French and Indonesian presidents met in private to discuss global issues and deepen the bilateral strategic partnership in several fields, as the visiting party’s team announced.

The delegation accompanying Macron includes representatives from EDF (Electricity of France), Dassault Aviation, Airbus, and Naval Group, among others.

Macron’s agenda includes a meeting with Indonesian entrepreneurs and investors and a visit to the National University of Jakarta to talk to students on international issues.
